The ultimate goal of a daycare center is to provide a loving, safe haven for every child to be able to explore and develop their social and academic skills. Children need encouragement and for adults to provide opportunities that will stimulate their development in every area: physical, cognitive, social, emotional and spiritual.

Even children who are the same age and gender grow and develop at in different ways. This is what makes them unique individuals. At Bright Starts Daycare, each child is treated with respect as individuals. They are given the opportunity to achieve. The staff has a working partnership with parents to ensure continuity in the child’s development at each stage.

Each classroom is structured with age-appropriate learning in an environment that encourages children to learn, play and explore. The trained teachers are committed to maximizing each child’s potential and will build a foundation for the children in our care to have a bright start.

For infants (6 weeks to 12 months), there are hundreds of activities that promote social, emotional, communication and physical development. The weekly lesson plans are designed to meet the individual development needs of children. Parents also receive a daily record of their infant’s activities. Toddlers (1-2 years) are engaged in a structured, academic schedule each day. The two and early three year olds are geared towards preparing the child for the preschool experience.

The interaction between teacher and child focuses on talking, listening and expanding verbal communication skills. Other enrichment programs for this age include book and storytelling; creative arts; games and puzzles; and, dramatic play.

Preschoolers (3-5 years) have a reading and writing skills curriculum. There are also learning centers which include math and manipulative, science and sensorial; reading and listening; construction and design; and, creativity and art.

Bright Starts Daycare is open Monday through Friday year round, excluding major holidays. This provides convenience for parents who may not have alternate child care if their regular facility is closed.
